A strong sense of community, cultural amenities like Town Square, Constellation Field, and events hosted by the City’s Park and Recreation department are all reasons why Fortune.com has named Sugar Land one of the 25 best places in the United States for families to live.

The article says that residents have “a sweet spot for this Houston suburb that brings its community together through a lively downtown hub, town events and even the odd ballgame or two.”

Sugar Land is the second-highest ranking Texas city on the list, ranking No. 17 behind cities like Wylie, Texas, Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Novi, Michigan.

With amenities like the Smart Financial Center, Sugar Land Town Square, the Crown Festival Park, and Constellation Field, it’s no wonder Sugar Land is a constantly featured on lists of where families should live.

Our residents have let us know that activity centers like these are a priority for them, and we’re working on incorporating more areas like this around Sugar Land to attract visitors and lead our city into the future.
