Notably, Hope Biosciences holds a unique position as the sole clinical-grade stem cell banking facility in the country, catering to both adults and newborns.

University of Houston College of Engineering

The Bachelor of Science Program in Biotechnology aims to equip students with knowledge and a foundational skill set that covers various aspects of basic sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. Notably, this program is pioneering in the state of Texas as it integrates medical, plant, microbial, and environmental biotechnologies directly into the undergraduate curriculum.

The presence of the University of Houston’s Division of Technology in their College of Engineering which will be moving fully to Fort Bend County in the next few years, offers a unique chance to collaborate with academia, presenting extra prospects for research and development. Remarkably, over 48 percent of Fort Bend's workforce holds a bachelor's degree or higher, with nearly 20 percent holding a graduate degree, the highest in the Greater Houston region.
