The first phase in a new 933-acre master-planned community is coming soon to Fort Bend County.
Called Starbridge, the first phase of the 2,000-home residential community will come to the county by early 2023, according to a June 27 news release.
Starwood Land, a nationwide developer of residential master-planned communities, will hand the reins of the community development over to Land Tejas, which serves as Starwood Land’s newly acquired partner, according to the release.
According to John Brian, East Region president of Starwood Land, participating homebuilders and price points for homes have not been determined. The community is located on Hwy. 59 near Rosenberg, in southwest Fort Bend County, zoned for schools within the Lamar CISD, according to the release.
“Fort Bend County continues to be a very popular destination for homeowners,” Brian said in the release. “Starbridge will include many of Houston’s top homebuilders, a variety of family-oriented amenities and a well-planned community design. Land Tejas has developed some of Houston’s finest communities, and Starbridge will continue that legacy.
”Starwood Land, which has developed more than 90 communities in 10 states, is the owner of Starbridge and will provide financing for the development of the community. Land Tejas, meanwhile, will be the fee development manager with experience in Fort Bend County previously developing Canyon Gate at the Brazos, a 500-acre community.
