Food lovers can once again enjoy and support The Grille at Reese Center, Fort Bend ISD’s career and technical education student-run restaurant that reopens Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Weekly menus will include dishes handmade in house and a limited number of items from Pepperoni’s, a locally owned and operated franchise which partners with Fort Bend ISD CTE. Along with their traditional in-house entrees, culinary arts students will cook using Pepperoni’s proprietary ingredients and recipes.

“The combination of locally-developed entrees and Pepperoni’s menu items will benefit both our customers and our culinary students,” said Meredith Wattasek, career and technical education director, in a news release. “Customers get a variety of items from which to choose and our students gain real-world knowledge of working for a franchise.”

The Grill can be found at the James Reese Career and Technical Center at 12300 University Blvd. in Sugar Land. Restaurant visitors should enter door A3 under the “Restaurant” sign that faces Chatham.

Dine-in and carry-out meals will be available from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Orders must be picked up no later than 5 p.m. and purchased by credit card or mobile payment.

The Reese Center offers four enterprise learning labs that provide real-world experience to CTE students. CTE students also operate a salon, auto shop and early education center.
